Labour Relations · HR Advisory · Workplace Law · Mediation & Arbitration
Zamat Workplace Solutions provides senior-level labour relations, workplace law and human resources support to employers, unions, boards and growing organizations, from a defined project or complex labour matter to interim HR leadership during a period of transition.
Sometimes you need counsel. Sometimes you need HR leadership. Often, you need both.
What we do
Workplace issues rarely fit neatly into one category. Our approach brings together legal, labour-relations and senior HR experience so clients can obtain the expertise the situation actually requires.
01
Strategic advice and representation across the unionized workplace.
02
Senior HR expertise when you need it, without necessarily adding permanent headcount.
03
Practical employment and labour counsel grounded in organizational reality.
04
Rima Zamat is available for appointment as an independent mediator or arbitrator.
01 · Labour Relations
Our experience with both employers and unions provides a practical understanding of how the other side evaluates risk, develops strategy and approaches resolution.
02 · HR Advisory + Interim Leadership
Not every organization needs another permanent executive or full-time HR resource. Sometimes you need experienced leadership for a particular moment, project or transition.
We can provide experienced interim coverage and continuity.
We can bridge the gap while the permanent search is underway.
We can build practical HR infrastructure that scales with the business.
Bring in senior-level support for a defined project, restructuring or sensitive workplace matter.
We can review HR practices, workplace issues or labour-relations strategy and recommend a practical path forward.
Engagements can be project-based, fractional, interim or ongoing.

04 · Mediation + Arbitration
Mediator & Arbitrator
Available for appointment as a mediator or arbitrator in labour, employment and workplace disputes. Her background in labour relations, collective bargaining and workplace strategy informs a practical, efficient and resolution-focused approach.
When retained as a mediator or arbitrator, Rima acts independently and impartially and does not represent either party. All appointments are subject to appropriate conflict and independence screening.
Who we help
The engagement is built around the problem, not the other way around.
A
Strategic labour, employment and HR support for day-to-day issues and high-stakes moments.
B
Bargaining, grievance strategy, collective agreement issues and labour-relations advice informed by experience on both sides.
C
Independent, senior-level support on leadership transitions, sensitive workplace issues, restructuring and executive matters.
D
Practical HR infrastructure, fractional leadership and workplace advice that can grow with the organization.
A different perspective
Effective workplace advice requires more than knowing the law. It requires understanding people, operations, collective bargaining, organizational pressures and the consequences a decision may have long after the immediate issue is resolved.
How we work
A client may need us for one difficult matter, six months of executive coverage, an upcoming round of bargaining or an ongoing advisory relationship. The scope should fit the need.
01
A clear mandate, deliverables and timeline for a specific business or workplace need.
02
Senior-level coverage during a leave, vacancy, executive transition or recruitment process.
03
Access to experienced labour, legal or HR support without building another permanent role.
04
Focused representation or advice on a grievance, bargaining issue, investigation, termination or workplace dispute.
Start a conversation
Whether the need is legal, operational, HR-related or labour-relations focused, the first conversation is about understanding the situation and identifying the right scope of support.
